Fairprice Housebrand NONYA CURRY LAKSA

Out of curiosity, bought one pack to try as packaging looks attractive. But I can't get both Curry and Laksa flavour in my taste bud. Need to be mindful not to add more than 400ml of water to cook the soup base, if not it will taste watery. Texture of noodles is all right. Overall, satisfactory results and price slightly higher than rest house brand, so will opt for more budget ones to get normal taste meals.

I was excited to try this to support our house brand and as I like curry & laksa. However, the taste seemed to be lacking in flavour. I like that there was an element of coconut milk (powdered) but it was not as rich as expected. The dipping sauce was rather odd as it looked more like a chili paste, but it did not provide much spice nor taste hence I added to the soup. Overall, it smelled good and had nice visuals when cooked but flavours seemed to be lacking. Tried making it subsequently with less water than the recipe suggested to compensate for the taste but it did not help too much. Hope the texture of the noodles can be more springy too!

Very nice base with flavourful seasoning and dipping sauce. I added in sausages and crabmeat to my noodles and it was delicious!
