I've been using this for a while now, and so far, I think it's a pretty decent retinol for the time being, as it is one of the more affordable ones on the market. I have yet to see any significant changes to my face and the oily consistency just makes my already oily face worse. Would change to another brand once this bottle is done. Not the best, yet not the worst!

I use The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane a few times a week. It’s effective for improving skin texture and fine lines over time. The formula feels moisturizing and might be oily for dome, but I recommend starting slowly as it’s strong. I might try a higher percentage later for more strength.

Have tried the 1% Retinol in Squalane and the 5%. Preferred the 5% over the 1% as the 1% is quite weak, but suitable for those who are just beginning to start using retinol into their skincare routine.

Great brand and this is a good retinol product, but extremely weak. Fine if you have very sensitive skin, otherwise it wont do much at all.

This product is not for me

The Ordinary Retinol 1% is an affordable option for mixing retinol into my skincare routine. While it lasts a long time, I have some reservations about it. The very oily consistency is not to my liking, making it less pleasant to use. Additionally, after using it for the past six months, I haven’t noticed significant differences in my skin. Because of this, I plan to look for another affordable retinol alternative once I finish my current bottle.
