Powerful and Compact Time-Saver!

Tefal Express Essential SV6116 Steam Generator Iron is easy to use, and has clear operating indicators, which was great as it is the first time I am trying out a Steam Generator (Previously been using Steam Irons & Garment Steamers only). I like the energy-saving mode as it uses reduced energy usage but still with the same powerful steam function! I noticed how effortlessly it was to glide it over fabrics, thanks to the Ceramic Xpress Glide soleplate and also the high-pressure steam from the large water tank. I have to say that ironing has become more efficient! I like how handy the vertical steaming mode is for my curtains (as opposed to how I always have to iron them on the ironing board), and those last-minute creases touch-ups on my clothes! (Note: Clothes need to be on hangers, not on body!) In the current pandemic times, whereby it is even more imperative than ever to maintain high hygiene level, the high heat and steaming combination helps to sanitise garments, curtains and even upholstery, giving me that peace of mind. With all that has been said, I still need time to get used to the thick cables and getting it out of the way when ironing. But the benefits of using this compact Tefal Express Essential SV6116 Steam Generator Iron certainly outweighs this tiny little inconvenience — Since ironing clothes is now easier and more efficient! Very important for the busy me!

I received the tefal iron SV6110 from Try and Review website for trial and submission of my honest opinion as a user. First impression, it looks very stylish although a bit heavy than a normal steam iron but easy to handle. When ironing, it does the job well and as advertised. Although a bit bulky and storing it might be an issue, if you don't have a laundry room, but when the results are as good as from professional dry cleaners, it becomes a minor point. It will take some time to know how to use the button correctly to release steam but once you get it, it's fun to see the magic happen! Time to store it, phew the loose cords are pretty frustrating with the size and weight of iron and it would have been a lot more easier if there was some inbuilt section to wind up and store the cords. A few things which I am still not clear are: *Why is there no locking mechanism for the front side of iron? It falls in front when moving the unit. *Why is there a grid at the base of water container which appears to be for cord but I am still unable to figure out how to use it! *Is it OK to leave the remaining water in the container? There is no marking on the container to know how much more water should be topped up the next time I am using it - the instructions advise max of 1.4 litres but there is no indicator to understand remaining quantity of water required for top up. Overall, I would definitely recommend it for its ease of use and great performance. The minor details can be dealt with and sorted out. Hope the company is listening as they have a great product subject to the small enhancements I mentioned above! Thank you Try and Review!

Crisp and Wrinkle Free Clothes All Day Long

Tefal has once again amazes me with their innovative products. I have tried the Tefal Express Easy Steam Station Steam Generator to iron my clothes. As I am always on the go, ironing becomes a easy chore for me with this Steam Generator. I do not need to setup the ironing board. Just by hanging my clothes on the rack, I can iron with ease and achieve the same result as using the ironing board. Of course, I can also use the ironing board with this Steam Generator, but I am just too lazy. Compare with conventional iron, the steam generator makes ironing faster as I just need to iron one side of the clothes and voila the other side also becomes wrinkle free. As such ironing time has in fact reduced by half. And I do not need to sweat it out when ironing clothes for the whole family. This is due to the powerful steam from the generator which produces constant flow of steam penetrating through the fabrics. The only downside of this product is the water tank. It cannot be detached. So I need to use a water container to pour water into the tank. And after ironing is done, I have to bring the whole equipment to the basin to empty the leftover water. I understand Tefal has an improved version of steam generator with detachable tank, and it will be a better choice for people who are looking for easy way of filling and clearing water from the tank. And Tefal should improve the manual. Initially I am confused as manual shows the tank can be detached. I am lucky enough not to force open the tank as this model does not come with detachable tank. So the manual should not show it can be detached. But these are just minor flaws. After you have used the product, all these flaws becomes very minute. Go try it yourself and you will be amazed by the results - smooth, crisp and wrinkle free clothes all day long. Highly recommended for people who are looking for an easy way out when comes to ironing.

Efficient steam iron

This steam iron has a whopping 1.4 litres of water capacity so I don't have to keep refilling the water and I can iron many pieces of clothing at one go. It is also efficient and I managed to iron a notoriously difficult to iron dress in a shorter time. However, I find that the instruction manual is not really good as it consists of only pictures and I have trouble figuring out how to use the iron at first. Had to watch YouTube videos to figure out how to operate it and what the different buttons do. But it's good once I get a hang of it. The iron makes a vibrating sound when the steam button on the handle is pressed and I'm not sure if it's normal. The cable that connects the iron to the water tank is hard to keep and can get in the way when ironing. The iron can operate both horizontally and vertically as a handheld iron. However, it can be a bit heavy when used as a handheld iron so you may feel tired using it vertically.
