Effective Spot Treatment, But Can Be Drying

I’ve been using the Uriage Hyseac SOS Drying Gel for a while now, and it works well for reducing pimples overnight. The gel absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a sticky residue, which I really appreciate. However, it can be quite drying, so I recommend applying only a small amount directly on blemishes and following up with a good moisturizer. It has a mild scent, nothing too strong, and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. Overall, a solid choice for spot treatment, but be mindful if you have very dry skin!

I’ve tried the product for 7 days and here’s my thoughts: Pros: - Easy to use and apply, the tube was easy to dispense - The gel was a good texture and comfortable on the skin Cons: - Does not remove or reduce blemishes fast enough within 7 days

Good for pus-filled pimples

Coming from someone with dryer skin, I found that this dried up my skin too much. Hence, it was most appropriate for me to use this only with pus-filled acne, and not dry acne. On the other hand, i think this would work very well for oily + acne-prone skin types as it reduces clogged pores due to its drying effect. It gives me a slight sting when used with other products, so i try to use it on its own. Overall, am happy to have this product for days when i am struggling with acne breakouts.

Not so effective for huge hormonal acne

Like the shape of the dispense mouth so you can control the amount of gel that you need. It’s a clear gel so it applies clear and dries up quickly. Tried it on my hormonal acne but I don’t really see that much of an effect. I think it’s just me.. acne gel/cream don’t work well for my acne. It does sting a little especially if there is an open wound, like after you squeeze your pimple so do be prepared. Best to apply just on the spot itself as you would not want to dry up your skin too much.
