SONY SONY SRS-XB10/WC PORTABLE BLUETOOTH SPEAKER

So I bought this because quality of laptop speakers are pretty poor. Sony has a reputation of making some high quality audio devices and this is no exception. The speakers can get really loud, although you may experience some distortion at the highest volume setting (very negligible in my opinion). The build quality is excellent and I really like this soft silicone material covering the cylinder and it's so nice to hold. There are five physical buttons on the speaker (Play/pause, volume up/down, power/Bluetooth pairing and Add {More on the "Add" button a little later}). These buttons are recessed and you might not always get a clicky feel when pressing any of these buttons. Quietly tucked away behind a silicone flaps is a slot for a Micro-USB port (charge) and an Audio In (3.5mm headphone jack slot). Also in the box is a silicone hook which can double as a stand when the speaker is placed in horizontal orientation to prevent the speaker from rolling (Ingenious thought that). The gripes I have with these speakers: Well, your device needs to be no more than a meter away when trying to pair and the frequent drop outs with Bluetooth connection. I haven't fully tested the range for the fear of massive dropouts and besides, it's primarily used as an external speaker for my laptop so it's always close to the laptop. As previously touched upon, the sound can get really loud and it can fill up a average sized room. The "Add" button is a feature I wasn't aware of and this basically lets you pair another SRS-XB10 and get a stereo effect. Take note that although there is quite a bit of paperwork in the box, you don't get instruction manuals as they have to be downloaded from Sony's website (http://helpguide.sony.net/speaker/srs-xb10/v1/en/contents/TP0001266491.html). There's a ton of good things going for this speaker and at that price (Rs. 3100) it seems like a pretty solid choice, however, it's no good of there are going to be frequent drop outs with Bluetooth connection. I also do have a JBL Go which is far more stable as far as Bluetooth connectivity goes and is almost priced at half of these. Maybe the iteration of these speakers will address all of these problems and until such time, I'd hold of on buying these. Cheers!

Sony speakers are number one, their bass is also good and the sound quality is also good. If you play it on the school speaker at home, it sounds very good and if you connect Bluetooth and watch pictures, you will enjoy it. The sound is so loud that it feels like you're watching a movie in a theater.
