This is an incredibly popular sunscreen in Japan. I used to use it only for outdoor activities like going to the beach, but since moving to Singapore, the sun is so intense that it has become my daily go-to. To be honest, it’s not exactly a "lightweight" texture and does leave a bit of a sticky feel on the skin. However, I trust its protection more than anything else. Since it’s an imported product here, the price is definitely higher than in Japan, which is a downside, but for the level of sun protection it offers, I find it worth it.

Love the lightweight feel that glides easily on the skin. Doesnt feel sticky and also dont leave face looking white like other brands. Lightly fragrance and it is pleasant

Tried this sunscreen as it is so highly raved. RIght off the bat, there is a significant white cast. Would be suitable for those with fair skin as the white cast gives a slight brightening effect. It dries down to a matte finish very quickly. As someone with dry/dehydrated skin, it was not suitable for me. It pills very easily, i.e. over skincare, under makeup, on its own. When removing with an oil-based remover, I could feel a gritty texture being rubbed off.

Anessa is one of the more premium sunscreens in the market that can be found in local pharmacies, making it very accessible yet remaining a very good quality sunscreen. The texture is smooth yet non oily and glides on like a dream. Highly recommended for our tropical weather.
