Few months ago i was having a bad rash sa both ng armpits ko, it was bad, as in super itchy, nagkabutlig na and nagdarken na sila since super kati talaga. Gang sa nag resolve nlng ako with Dove deo serum it really did not matter that time if may whitening emerut bsta i just want to change my armpit care routine. Hanggang sa wala pang one month, i started noticing na nwala na yung itch. And mind you i haven’t shaved my armpit hair for almost 2 months since i don’t want to further iritate my skin that time. So i let it grow muna bilang di naman ako mahilig mag sleeveless. Last week i decided to shave my UA hair. I was shocked talaga to see the current state of my UA. Ang layo sa nakaraan hahaha. I am very particular about the products I apply to my underarms because, as hard as it is to admit, I still get body odor, no matter how many times I shower. Usually, I go for products that are unscented and can keep my skin dry all day long. The question is, is Dove Radiant +Care Deodorant a good choice? Let’s start with the basics. For its price (less than P150), it is very cheap considering that you only need to apply a pea-sized amount. The packaging is also impressive — you just need to pull the cap off, squeeze the tube until the product comes out, and use the “dome” to apply the product directly to the underarm. No need to use your fingers for the application, which is good because there’s usually a weird feeling when you apply underarm skincare using your finger. I don’t know why, but if it’s not a lotion or moisturizer, it often leaves the skin dry. Anyway, other than the packaging, the ingredients are also worth noting. It has Niacinamide, a popular skincare ingredient known for treating hyperpigmentation. While it has stearyl alcohol, I found out that it’s a “good” kind of alcohol that protects and moisturizes the skin. Plus, it’s from a well-known and trusted brand — DOVE! Unfortunately, while it might work for some people, I believe this product is not for me. First, it’s unscented, which doesn’t go really well for someone with my case. My armpit doesn’t really smell like the usual body odor, but it does leave an unpleasant smell. It doesn’t absorb easily, so be sure to dry it out really well before putting your clothes on. Other than that, it’s ok. I use it at night when I’m just at home to moisturize my skin, but for keeping my underarm dry and BO-free lol, I use another product instead.
