Breville the Barista Express

This was a splurge for since the authentic Italian espresso maker was twice as much and unavailable to be shipped. The grounds come out almost perfectly every time for more specialty coffees, but still leaves much to be desired for an authentic espresso con crema. The milk frother gave better results than the others I have used, but the foam still does not last as long as the ones at the Italian bars. I do like that there is a guard for when the coffee beans grind and fill to avoid spillage. I believe that was a great idea since great coffee beans are expensive and every bit should be used. In all, I would personally use it more for specialty coffees than a true espresso.
