The Brazilian Bum Bum Cream by Sol de Janeiro is definitely one of the most iconic and popular products out there—and I think a lot of that popularity comes from social media.
To be fair, the scent is really nice. But if you're someone who likes to change fragrances with the seasons, I wouldn’t recommend committing to the full-size jar. There are other products out there with a similar scent, and in my experience, the fragrance doesn’t last very long on the skin.
That said, the hydration this cream provides is top-tier. Your skin will feel noticeably moisturized and soft after using it. I’d recommend it to people who genuinely love the scent and want a good-quality body moisturizer.
While I personally wouldn’t go out of my way to buy tubs of it, I wouldn’t mind receiving it as a gift—it does smell good and delivers on hydration. So for those who are obsessed with the scent, I get the hype.

I bought the full sized gift set of this specific scent of Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Cream and must say it did hydrate my arms and skin quite nicely. To me it smelled mostly of caramel and was getting no notes of pistachios. The cream was able to keep a majority of the sking on my legs and arms moisturized for a goo portion of the day, but did not work so well on elbows and knees. As for the bum area, even after working it in it felt like a layer was left of the skin causing clothing (underwear) to stick to the skin. I saw no lifting results, but was not expecting to from using only one jar so far.
