Bioré UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50+ PA++++

The Bioré UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence (SPF 50+ PA++++) is a cult-classic Japanese sunscreen widely loved for its weightless, serum-like feel. It was recently reformulated in 2025 with a slightly more cream-like (but still light) texture and added skincare benefits like Vitamin C. I have a oily face and I need this kind of cream once in a while. Here is a brief review of the current 2025 version: The Highlights Invisible Finish: Zero white cast. It blends into the skin completely clear, making it a favorite for all skin tones. Weightless Texture: It feels more like a light moisturizer or serum than a traditional sunscreen. It absorbs almost instantly with no stickiness. Micro-Defense Technology: It uses a formula designed to cover the "micro-cracks" in skin texture (fine lines and pores) for more even protection. Excellent Primer: It sits beautifully under makeup and rarely "pills" (clumping into balls). Pros & Cons Pros: High Protection: SPF 50+ and the highest UVA rating (PA++++). Water-Resistant: Holds up well against sweat and water (up to 80 mins). Hydrating: Contains Hyaluronic Acid and Royal Jelly to keep skin plump. Cons: High Alcohol Content: The alcohol helps it dry fast but can be drying for very sensitive or dry skin. Fragrance: Has a distinct citrus/alcohol scent that some might find strong. Dewy Finish: It leaves a "glowy" look; if you have very oily skin, you might find it too shiny. My verdict is that use it once in a while. If you feel that your skin is oily and over moisturize, then use other product that will make you feel less oily. I have 3 creams used alternately to avoid too oily and too dry skin given that we are living in a tropical country where weather is keep on changing.

I swear by this product as one of the best sunscreen in the market. It's lightweight, water-based, non-comedogenic, and definitely, sun-protecting.
