Carmex CARMEX Classic Lip Balm Cherry

I discovered Carmex by accident. I was in the states and I didn't bring any lip things that would keep it moisturized so when I went to target I saw this near the cashier so I gave it a go. I have tried majority of its flavors and all of it is a 100% for me.

The back of my tiny bag is full of lip balms and lip gloss because I need to constantly rehydrate my lips to prevent them from chapping and cracking in the summer heat. So, trust me when I say I know what separates a great lip balm from a bad one, especially in this heat. CARMEX Lip Balm goes on smoothly and has a nice scent that makes it feel less "plastic" compared to other lip balms I've tried. It's a great base before I put on my lipstick, as it dries rather quickly and prevents my lips from drying out even if I use matte lipstick. The only downside I can think of is the packaging tube; it does tend to spill out more products than intended. So, you have to be more careful when applying. Otherwise, you can easily waste product. Also, I noticed that since it's been really hot lately, the product also melted inside the tube, so it became a bit runnier. When this happens, you can easily put it in the ref and store it in an area away from direct sunlight.

I'd been on the hunt for a good lip balm that actually moisturizes my super dry lips! I often stay in airconditioned places and forget to drink water, so I often have to deal with cracked, peeling, dry lips. I've tried many other lip balms, and while they moisturize my lips, it only lasts for a few minutes, maybe a few hours, before it goes back to its former cracked state. So, I bought the Carmex lip balm as a recommendation from a friend. And my gosh and golly, did it do wonders! The lip balm actually moisturizes my lips SO well that I often only need to reapply the balm maybe twice or thrice a day, not because their effects had worn off, but because I applied another lip product (lip tints or lipsticks). It works so so well, my lips are now soft and plump! A few things though: 1. This tube version is more value for your money, but more difficult to use than the lip balm tube. You'll have to squeeze the product out! 2. If you live in a hot climate, the formula's viscosity changes and it becomes more liquidy. This was difficult for me to deal with when it first happened, because it was so runny! 3. The cherry scent is strong. Not overpowering, but strong. Apply your balm cautiously. 4. it tastes kinda like cherry if you accidentally eat it lol Still, even with those caveats, would still repurchase this!
