The shimmer cubes are that- shimmer shadows. They're great when used on top of a base, whether it's a matte powder shadow or a creamy base. On their own, they aren't opaque and the shimmers can go everywhere when they have nothing to stick to. I find that they work great too as highlighters on the brow bone or inner corners.
