When I first tried NARS Climax Mascara Explicit Black Mascara, the lashes looked really black and full, and it gave a nice dramatic effect. Some days it stayed put really well and looked great through most of the day. But sometimes it smudged under my eyes, especially if I blinked a lot or it was warm. The brush is pretty big, so it took a couple of tries to apply neatly, and I noticed some flaking after many hours. For dramatic looks it’s nice, but I wouldn’t say it’s perfect or waterproof — it depends on how you wear it and what you expect from a mascara.
