Retinol Tonic and Jasmine smoothing toner

I use this Retinol Tonic when I want a gentle but effective way to smooth and renew my skin — it’s not your typical aggressive retinol formula, and that’s part of what makes it so smart.
What’s in it / Why I like it:
It has time-release retinol, so the effect is gradual and less likely to irritate.
There are peptides in the mix, which help to firm and support collagen — I feel like my skin has a bit more bounce when I’ve used it consistently.
The jasmine flower extract is lovely — it calms and balances, giving a slightly soothing scent and feel.
It’s alcohol-free, paraben-free, and cruelty-free.
How I Use It:
1. I cleanse my face first.
2. Then I soak a cotton pad with the tonic and sweep it over my face, neck, and even décolletage — I avoid the eye area.
3. After, I follow with a serum or moisturizer.
How It Feels / Works:
The toner feels smooth and quite gentle — there’s no harsh sting, but because it has retinol, I don’t use it every single night at first.
Over time, I noticed my skin texture is more refined, and there’s a soft glow to it, like it’s more “renewed.” Some reviewers say it helped reduce breakouts.
Because retinol can make skin more sensitive, I make sure to use sunscreen in the day when I’m using this.
Things to Be Careful About:
Even though it’s gentle, retinol is still retinol — if you’re very new to it, start slowly (e.g., a few nights a week) and monitor how your skin reacts.
Avoid using other active/exfoliating products (like strong acids) on the same night, unless you know your skin can handle it.
Make sure to patch-test first — and keep up daily SPF because of the skin sensitivity that retinol can bring.
Bottom Line:
This is my go-to retinol “entry” tonic. It bridges the gap between a simple toner and a lightweight treatment, giving me smoother, more refined skin without feeling like I need to double-down on strong actives. For me, it's a thoughtful, balanced way to introduce retinol.
