I use the product when i sometimes wear makeup, as someone with sensitive skin I am always cautious about what i put on my face. She does not irritate skin, she cleans my pores very well.

How I used it
In the evenings, I’d scoop a generous amount, apply it onto dry skin, and massage gently for about 30–60 seconds, especially around areas where I wear more makeup or sunscreen. Then I added a little water to emulsify it, continued to massage, and rinsed off with lukewarm water. On nights when I double-cleansed, I followed up with my usual gentle gel cleanser.
What I observed
After use, my skin felt noticeably smoother. I had a few rough patches on my cheeks and around my nose, and those felt less prominent the next morning.
I found it removed my makeup and sunscreen quite well — not instantly like some balms forcing the issue, but with moderate effort it left my skin feeling clean without the “tight” sensation.
Because I have a combination/leaning-oily T-zone, I appreciated that the skin didn’t feel overly heavy afterward. The “film” some balms leave wasn’t too pronounced for me (though I did make sure to rinse thoroughly).
I liked the feel of it: the texture melted pleasantly, felt luxe, and the packaging aesthetic was a nice bonus.
On nights when I skipped this and just used my plain cleanser, my skin looked duller and the texture a little rougher. So I’d say the balm added a noticeable “reset” feel.
What I liked
The gentle exfoliating via papaya enzyme (“papain”) gave a mild smoothing effect without aggressive irritation.
It struck a good balance: cleansed well, felt comfortable on my skin, didn’t leave me feeling stripped.
Great for nights when I had heavy sunscreen or makeup. I felt like my skin was truly reset afterwards.
The feel/experience: the spreading and melting were satisfying, which matters in a product you’ll actually want to use consistently.
What I found less ideal
Because of the oils and wax-balm formulation, on my oily/combination zones I noticed a slight extra sheen for a short while. If I didn’t rinse thoroughly or if I used too much product, the T-zone ended up shinier midday.
For very waterproof or heavy eye makeup (mascara, liner), I found I had to spend extra time massaging to fully dissolve it. I sometimes had to use a second cleanser just around the eyes.
The jar format means you scoop with fingers (or a spatula) and there’s always the chance of contamination or product warming up in a hot room. I stored mine in a cooler spot for that reason.
Price: For what it is, it’s premium, so if your cleansing needs are basic you might find less expensive alternatives that do the job nearly as well.
For my skin type (oily/combination) — how it performed
Overall, I’d say it worked pretty well for my oily/combination skin, with these notes:
Because it’s a balm (oil/wax-based), I made sure to use just enough (not too much) and to rinse thoroughly. That way it didn’t weigh down my skin or contribute to excess oil-feeling later.
On the T-zone I used a lighter touch or sometimes followed with a quick gel cleanse to make sure no residue stayed.
On the cheeks and areas where I felt rough or textured, it helped. So for the mixed zones (textured + oily) it was a good fit.
If I were very oily and sought a completely matte finish, I might prefer a lighter oil-free cleanser in place of the balm on some nights — but for the nights I wanted the “deep first cleanse plus smoothing” effect, this balm was a winner.
My verdict
If I were recommending it: yes — if your routine includes makeup or sunscreen that you want thoroughly removed, and you value a cleansing experience that also gives skin texture and smoothness benefits, this is a solid pick. It’s not just a “basic” cleanser: it gives a little more in terms of smoothing and finish.
That said, if your skin is extremely oily and you prioritize a completely matte, stripped-residue finish, you might want a lighter first-cleanse alternative for some nights, or make sure your rinse/double cleanse is thorough.
Would I repurchase it? Yes, I would — because I liked how my skin felt afterward. But I’d keep my expectations realistic: it’s not going to dramatically shrink pores or remove deep blemish scars, but it does deliver an elevated cleansing step that leaves skin smoother and more comfortable.
