Kenzo World Eau de Toilette Sprary is light, fresh and a little playful – perfect from everyday wear. It's floral but not overpowering, with a soft fruity touch that feels really clean. Doesn't last all day, but it smells lovely while it does.

What it is & how I used it I picked this up because the original “World” line by Kenzo intrigued me. This Eau de Toilette version was released in 2018, created by perfumers François Kurkdjian & Maïa Lernout. I used it for everyday wear: mornings after shower, a couple of sprays on my wrists and neck, sometimes a light one on clothing or scarf when heading out for lunch or errands. Scent profile & wear experience Opening: On first spray I noticed a crisp pear note (and underlying bergamot) — juicy, bright, and alert. Dry-down: As it settled, the floral heart (peony, almond blossom, rose) came through. The base gave me a soft powdery impression with hints of orris root, vanilla, violet and a touch of woody sandalwood. Projection & longevity: On my skin I got decent wear — around 5-6 hours of noticeable scent, then it mellowed into a subtle skin-scent. In warm weather the pear top faded quicker; cooler days it held a bit longer. What I liked The fresh fruity opening gives a good “wake up” smell and felt modern rather than overly heavy. The transition to the powdery floral base is elegant — it doesn’t feel overly loud or dramatic. It’s versatile: I found it suitable for daytime, work, casual outings — especially when I didn’t want a heavy perfume. The bottle design (for me) is attractive and the whole experience felt cohesive. What I found less ideal Because it’s an EDT and leans lighter, if you’re after bold presence or strong sillage this might under-deliver. In humid or hot conditions I noticed it fades faster and the pear/fruit top becomes less distinct. Some might find the powdery base a little “soap-like” or reminiscent of clean-laundry scents — which is a preference rather than a flaw. If you prefer deep, rich or gourmand fragrances, this might feel too soft or subtle. Suitability & who it’s good for Good for: Someone seeking a fresh, fruity-floral scent for everyday use — something that isn’t overpowering but still distinctive. Wearers who prefer a lighter perfume and layer rather than one that dominates. Cooler seasons or air-conditioned environments where the scent can linger without being challenged by heat. Maybe less ideal for: Someone who wants the smell to “announce” their presence from afar or fill a room. If you live/work in very warm/humid climates and need a long-lasting heavy fragrance. If your signature is gourmand, deep, or evening-heavy scent — this leans more daytime/versatile. My verdict Overall, I’d say I would keep this in my rotation. It doesn’t blow me away as a “top five forever” fragrance, but it hits a sweet spot for what I look for on many days: modern, pleasant, not overbearing. For my personal use I’d rate it 7½/10. If I were choosing whether to repurchase: yes — especially for seasons or situations where a lighter, clean-fresh but still stylish scent is appropriate. The packaging would be 10/10.
