This fragrance, has all the attention on me. I'm always asked what do I use. And I tell them I'm using Flower by Kenzo and I recommend it to them. It smells very unique and different from other fragrances.

Flower by Kenzo Eau De Lumiere Eau De Toilette

What it is & how I used it
This fragrance from Kenzo is a variation (a “flanker”) of their iconic “Flower” collection. Launched in 2017, it carries the signature “flower in the field of light” idea—hence “Lumière” (light).
In my routine I used it mostly during daytime or casual evenings: I’d spray once or twice on my wrists and neck after my morning shower, and another light spray on my scarf or hair before going out—especially when I wanted something floral but fresh, rather than heavy.
How it smelled & felt on me
At first spray I got a bright citrus-floral opening: bergamot and a hint of black-currant/cassis give a fresh lift.
As it settled, the heart revealed rose, jasmine, peach/ylang-ylang luminous floral notes.
The base: white musk, violet/heliotrope, a soft powdery finish, giving a gentle “veil of light” impression rather than something heavy.
On my skin it felt cheerful, uplifting, and suited warm-bright days more than cold ones.
Longevity/strength: It performed moderately. On skin I got about 4-6 hours of noticeable scent; after that it faded into a soft skin-scent. On clothes I could still faintly detect it into the evening.
What I liked
The brightness: It felt fresh and light for a floral, which I appreciated especially when I didn’t want to go too heavy.
Versatility: I found it suitable for everyday wear—office, weekend brunch, casual outings—without feeling like “too much perfume.”
The powdery-musky base gives a soft elegance rather than overt drama.
The bottle and branding have that “Kenzo flower poppy” motif which I like for aesthetic.
It gave me a clean, floral-fresh feel without leaving a heavy trail.
What I found less ideal
Because it’s an EDT variant and leans lighter, if you’re after strong projection or long-lasting sillage, you might feel it’s a bit underwhelming.
On hot/humid days I found the scent faded faster, so I had to reapply if I wanted it to last.
For winter/cold evenings I personally prefer something deeper and warmer; this one felt more for spring/summer to me.
If you preferred the original “Flower” fragrance by Kenzo (or a more powder-heavy version) you might find this Lumière variant different (so it might not deliver the same signature effect).
Because the powdery-musk base on my skin sometimes tipped into “almost too soft,” in a crowded or open space it didn’t always project as much as I’d like.
Who I think it’s good for & fit for my preferences
Good for: Someone who wants a floral scent that feels fresh, elegant and wearable day-to-day without overpowering. If your style leans soft, modern, and lightly feminine, this fits well.
Less ideal for: Those who want bold, heavy, gourmand or strong perfume presence; or if you specifically want a fragrance that turns heads from several metres away or lasts 12+ hours.
For me (with my preference for balanced scents that are noticeable but not overwhelming) it fit nicely: it gave me floral charm with a light touch.
My verdict
Would I buy it again? Yes—I’d consider it a solid “everyday” floral for when I want something pretty but not dramatic. I’d rate it for my personal use around 7.5/10. It doesn’t blow me away or redefine my fragrance wardrobe, but it does exactly what it promises: a light, luminous flower scent in an accessible way.
