What it is & how I used it This is a foaming hand wash from Dove in their “Advanced Care” line, specifically the Coconut & Almond Milk variant. According to the brand it’s designed to both cleanse and deeply nourish hands—“removes germs in seconds and boosts skin moisture” thanks to their “Moisture Boost 5X Complex”. I placed a pump in my bathroom by the sink and used it multiple times a day (after returning home, after meals, before going out), especially since I tend to wash my hands often and have a mix of oily zones (body/face) and parts that feel slightly dry (knuckles, cuticles). I wet my hands, pumped the foam, lathered for ~20 seconds, then rinsed and patted dry. What I noticed on my skin What I liked: The foam is rich and cushiony—much nicer than basic liquid hand washes I’ve used. After using it, my hands (knuckles, palms) felt smoother and less “tight” than when I used a standard soap. I liked the scent: a soft coconut + almond milk aroma that lingered pleasantly (but not overpowering). It gave the hand-wash step a small “luxury” feel rather than purely functional. My hands didn’t feel stripped. Because I wash frequently, some hand washes leave a dry, chalky feel; this one avoided that. It claims to be sulfate-free and paraben-free and uses gentle cleansers. That mattered when I felt some dryness around my cuticles. What I found less ideal: While lovely, if I used it and then didn’t apply any hand cream, by mid-afternoon my hands (especially the backs and knuckles) sometimes felt a little dry—so it isn’t a full “moisturising cream in a wash” replacement. On very hot humid days (or after heavy outdoor work) I noticed some slight residue or a very mild “slick” feel on my palms (less than others but present) probably due to the richer feel of the formula. The scent, while nice, may be more than someone who prefers very fragrance-light hand care would like. Because I wash my hands so often, I found the bottle consumed faster than simpler hand washes; so for everyday high-frequency use, the cost per use is something to watch. Suitability for combination/oily-leaning hands & frequent hand-washers Given that you asked about products and fit for “oily/combination skin” (in my case, hands that have oily-leaning palms but drier backs/knuckles): Good fit: The formula’s nourishing side is helpful for my drier parts (cuts/calloused backs). It doesn’t exacerbate feeling greasy on the palms. Caveat: If your hands are very oily (e.g., you’re outdoors a lot, sweating heavily, or don’t like any residue), you might prefer a “light cleanse” variant (gel-type, minimal finish). This one leans into comfort rather than ultra-matte. For heavy frequent use (many washes per day) I found that pairing it with a plain non-fragranced hand wash on ultra-busy days helps keep things balanced. My verdict Would I repurchase? Yes—I would. I enjoy how it elevates a basic step (hand-wash) into something more pleasant, and it works well for the “normal to slightly dry” parts of my hands. If I were rating it (for my needs): I’d give it about 8/10. It does what it sets out to do—cleanse, fragrant, nourish—but it’s not perfect for ultra-oil-control or extremely dry hands without follow-up cream.
